Wipe out
We were supposed to be taking a gentle canoe trip down the Wye for our annual company day out (a bit more genteel than last year's "Go Ape").
But when the river turned in to a raging torrent by all the rain we had to come up with a last minute plan B. Kate's suggestion of camel trekking was pretty quickly ruled out (maybe next year Kate!)
Fortunately we're not short of options down here in the West Country. Surfing being one of them.
So much to my surprise (and Jon's joy) almost everyone jumped at the chance to head down to Woolacombe on the North Devon Coast to catch some waves.
Most of us floundered around for several hours whilst Jon and Iwein showed us how it's done. But with some good waves and plenty of sunshine everyone had a fantastic afternoon. There is nothing like surfing for taking your mind off life's stresses and strains.
So we all arrived back in Bristol that evening thoroughly chilled out. Unfortunately 3Sixty won't be relocating to North Devon, but we think that being based in Bristol isn't a bad compromise.
