Search Engine Optimisation (SEO) pays dividends
We've been working hard to improve our search engine ranking, and the effort seems to be bearing fruit. We're in fifth position in Google UK's organic listings for the search term "digital maketing agency" and in eighth place for the phrase "digital marketing".
Here are some of the reasons we think we're doing well:
- We keep our site refreshed with new content at least once a week.
- The site mainly uses HTML, which the search engines find easier to index than Flash based websites.
- We've coded the site to make it as search engine friendly as possible and we make sure that we give the search engines clues as to the content of each page (e.g. putting keywords in the page title and page headings).
- Our content management system (Sitecore) allows us to create search engine friendly URLs (you may have noticed that some web pages have ugly address full that look something like this: www.website.co.uk/?a3242452rd43436634 - this kind of address doesn't give a search engine any clues about the content of the page).
- 3Sixty.co.uk has been around a long time (since 1995), so we've built up a lot of good in-bound links from reputable sites, and this is something Google in particular really likes.
Doing well in the search engines (especially Google) isn't a vanity exercise. We receive a regular stream of high quality enquiries from this source. For example in the last 12 months we've won a major financial services client who found us via Google and we're close to signing up a major international transport company who also found us this way.
I expect that doing well in search would have an equally significant impact ono your business. So contact us if you would like to talk about how we could help your with search engine optimisation for your website.
